Flowline’s UG01 & UG03 Echopod Level Sensor delivers reliable continuous measurement of Ferric Chloride after its use in lakes and rivers in the State of Minnesota, USA.

MORE INFORMATION
The state of Minnesota has 11,842 lakes fed by 6,564 rivers or streams that may carry high levels of suspended solids, derived from mud and numerous biological sources. Where significant, solids cause stratification, resulting in increased water temperature, lower dissolved oxygen, and the loss of fish habitat. To combat this, flocculants are injected into damaging streams. Ferric Chloride binds with suspended solids and creates clumps that fall to the bottom, where lake microorganisms break them down. The state experienced problems with previous ultrasonic sensors during the humid summer months when significant condensation builds upon the transducers. The reflective ultrasonic level sensors from Flowline are unaffected by condensation. The Flowline EchoPod UG01 & UG03 Ultrasonic Level Sensors provide continuous level data to the SCADA system, which in turn, monitors the tank inventories and alarms for replenishment. The non-contact liquid level sensor features our proprietary Reflective Technology™ that delivers reliable level measurement in condensing environments. Each relay can be configured for alarm, automatic fill or empty functions. This product is available to purchase, please contact us for more information. For more Flowline Products click here. |
