DPRTE Event: Farnborough

Last week iCenta attended the Defence & Procurement - Research & Technology - Exportability event (DPRTE) hosted by BIP Solutions. The event, held across a single day, drew a record attendance as over 1500 visitors made their way to Farnborough to engage within a marketplace valued at over £20 billion annually.
iCenta Controls are an active supplier through the defence procurement platforms, plus we like to keep up to date with any new developments regarding the export market given the current climate. The DPRTE event was an excellent way to do this alongside being a great networking opportunity and source of information. With several procurement and collaboration zones for supply chain conversations with prime contractors and a great selection of keynote speakers, we had a very busy day.
Finally, we ended the day with a very thought-provoking talk from Jason Fox, of Who Dares Wins, at the Keynote Arena. Jason, a former Royal Marine Commando and Special Forces Sergeant, led us through a truly gripping but harrowing tale of survival and overcoming the odds in the face of adversity during a tour in Afghanistan.
